We support our service users with maintaining their independence. To accomplish this, we apply the social model of disability in all our work, we focus on removing the barriers that prevent or hinder disabled people from having equal access to employment, housing, recreation and leisure services.
Run By Disabled People, For Disabled People
Disability Action Haringey is here for you.
We are a Deaf and Disabled Persons’ Organisation in the London Borough of Haringey. This means most of our staff and management are disabled people from the local area. Our goal is to advocate for the needs of the local disabled community and ensure equal access to services. We are led by our membership and service users and are supported by Haringey Council.
We not only offer services to support disabled people with matters such as housing and social care, but we also raise funds and recruit volunteers. From social events and raising awareness, to providing individuals and their families with practical and emotional support, we are committed to ensuring our and your voices as local disabled people are listened to.
